Connecting Irish and Spanish historical imagination through creative writing - A Project with the University of Plymouth

I was contracted by a lecturer in creative writing at the University of Plymouth to translate 9 short stories from Spanish into English. This creative writing project was a collabration between a number of universities in both Ireland and Spain including: Biblioteca Eugenio Frias of Madrid, Circulo de Bellas Artes, Autonomous University of Madrid, Galway City Library, Galway City Museum. 
Over the course of this two month project, I translated 13,000 words spread out over the 9 short stories. Each of the stories have now been edited and published on The Wandering Bard, an online magazine and blog directed by Dr. Inés Gregori Labarta, principle investigator for this project.  

Yo'O Guatemala ES>EN

During the summer of 2022, following my undergraduate graduation, I undertook a translation for a Latin American NGO called Yo'o Guatemala. The project included translating three documents for the NGO including their project outlines, mission statement and their current status reports for each of their projects.

German Counselling Handbook DE>EN

In 2021, whilst working as part of the PerMondo volunteer translation programme, I completed a translation of a counselling guidebook for a German NGO. 

Environmental Transcription

One of my most interesting projects to date was a large transcription job relating to Climate Change and our planet's energy resources.
